It provides the UK’s measurement traceability which underpins all flow and density measurements. As one of the world’s foremost authorities in flow measurement, TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory has a crucial role in providing the testing infrastructure and measurement expertise to support the transition to clean fuels.

This includes the UK’s first traceable hydrogen flow testing facility for domestic gas meters, which will help determine if existing and new technologies are correctly measuring hydrogen flow rates. This is crucial to ensure that hydrogen gas meters deployed in the future deliver accurate measurements.
